I like the idea of your piece. Your characters seem out of proportion to their environment. Be aware of scale and adjust accordingly. I like how you used a layer mask for the background and worked with opacity changes but be careful not to go to low. I can still see the rectangle of the plane. Try using the lasso tool, or magic wand to get rid of that.
